It was never God’s intent that we who were created in His image would experience slavery, oppression or evil of any kind.
There is a dimension of the Christian life that goes beyond routine, religion, and activities—it is the experience of God’s presence.
Many believers know about God, but few truly experience the freedom that comes from being in His presence. This freedom is not just emotional—it is spiritual, transformational, and life-changing.
The question is: Are you truly experiencing God, or just practicing Christianity?
THE POWER OF HIS PRESENCE
We Must Choose to Obtain
The Bible tells us:
“Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.” — 2 Corinthians 3:17
God’s presence is not just a feeling—it is a realm where:
- Chains are broken
- Hearts are healed
- Burdens are lifted
- Direction is revealed
In His presence, you are not bound—you are free.
WHAT DOES THIS FREEDOM MEAN?
1. Freedom from Sin and Guilt
In God’s presence, condemnation loses its power. You are reminded of who you are in Christ—not your past mistakes.
2. Freedom from Fear
Fear cannot survive where God’s presence dwells. His presence brings peace, assurance, and confidence.
3. Freedom from Burdens
Many carry emotional and spiritual weights daily. But in His presence, those burdens are lifted.
“Cast your burden on the Lord…” — Psalm 55:22
4. Freedom to Become
God’s presence does not just change how you feel—it transforms who you are.
You begin to grow, mature, and reflect Christ.
HOW TO EXPERIENCE GOD’S PRESENCE
1. Through Genuine Worship
Worship is more than songs—it is surrender. When you worship sincerely, you invite God’s presence.
2. Through Prayer
Prayer is the doorway into God’s presence. Not just talking—but communing with Him.
3. Through the Word
God reveals Himself through His Word. The more you engage Scripture, the more you experience Him.
4. Through Holiness
God’s presence thrives in a life that is yielded and consecrated to Him.
5. Through Hunger
Those who truly experience God are those who deeply desire Him.
“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst…” — Matthew 5:6
SIGNS YOU ARE WALKING IN HIS PRESENCE
- You have inner peace even in chaos
- You are sensitive to the Holy Spirit
- Sin becomes uncomfortable
- You desire God more than anything else
- Your life begins to change
WHAT CAN HINDER GOD’S PRESENCE?
Sin and compromise
- Distractions and worldliness
- Prayerlessness
- Lack of hunger for God
CONCLUSION
God’s presence is not reserved for a few—it is available to every believer.
But it must be pursued.
Freedom is not found in the world—it is found in Him.
When you truly experience God’s presence, you don’t just attend church—you become a carrier of His presence.
CALL TO ACTION
This week, make a decision:
- Spend time in worship
- Pray intentionally
- Seek God deeply
Don’t settle for religion—pursue His presence.
PRAYER
Father, help me to hunger for Your presence.
Remove every distraction and draw me closer to You.
Let me experience the freedom that comes from walking with You daily.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
